I remember walking into Milwaukee County Stadium for the first time in the early 90’s with my grandfather and uncles. It began a lifelong love for my Milwaukee Brewers. Last week on vacation, I was able to take my 2 boys to recreate that moment. As a father, there are few better moments than your first ballgame with your kids.
We wandered the park and let the kids go down Bernie’s “Mini Slide”. The boys got to meet the racing sausages. My big guy loves Chorizo, while my little guy is a Hot Dog fan. Always been partial to Brat, myself.
The best part about it? The game was a win, and one with lots of home runs. That means extra fireworks, which the boys definitely enjoyed.
It’s a moment I’ll never forget, and only the first of very many games we’ll have together.
