Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend.

78°.

76°.

79°.

The nice weather is finally back!!!!!! I hate the 90’s…can’t stand it. I’m in legit misery when it’s that hot outside. I don’t even like the 80’s that much. But you give me highs in the mid-upper 70’s with lows in the 50’s during the overnights, and I’m as happy as a little girl.

Needless to say, I’m looking forward to spending some time outdoors this weekend, likely on the Harley…or in the backyard with a firepit & some Festbiers. I will also be at the Rock Stop on Friday at Smokey’s Bar & Grill in Holmen with Twisted Tea, and on Saturday at Pizza Villa in West Salem(Thinking Bacon Cheeseburger or Villa Deluxe!)

There’s only two weeks left of the 95 Days of Summer so don’t miss any more Rock Stops! Find all the info on the bike & the list of the remaining Rock Stops here.

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FridayRiver Roast @ the Charmant Hotel from 5pm until 10pm

This is a FREE, outdoor block-party style concert at the entrance to Riverside Park, just outside of the Charmant Hotel! You can enjoy live music from The People Brother’s Band with opening acts, Miles Nielsen & the Rusted Hearts, and Steelin’ Cheeba!

Gates open at 5pm & it’s free to attend, but you must present your Eventbrite ticket upon arrival. You can get one here(while supplies last!). Food & beverages will be available for purchase, and pets are NOT welcome at this event. Also, please refrain from bringing your own chairs!

Friday, Saturday & SundayCouleeCon 2022 @ the La Crosse Center

The event runs from 1pm until 11pm on Friday, 8am until 11pm on Saturday, and from 9am until 5pm on Sunday at the La Crosse Center.

SaturdayThe La Crosse Public Library No Run Fun Run from 4pm until 7pm

The La Crosse Public Library is hosting its first ever No Run Fun Run Fundraiser. It’s a spin on the traditional fun-run fundraiser to make it more accessible for all ages and abilities. This FREE event takes place in the Main Library Parking Lot on Main St. in La Crosse from 4pm, and features activities for all ages! Plus, live music and food trucks.

Registered “runners” will experience all the fun of a run, with a commemorative t-shirt and a finish line celebration—all without breaking a sweat! All proceeds from the event will benefit our new Creation Space and Tool Library, which will give community members access to tools, technology, and training that will enable them to collaborate, experiment, and create together.

Find more info on this event here.

SundayAdios to the Arterial @ the Arterial Bar & Grill from 11am until 5pm.

All good things must come to an end! After being known as “The Arterial Bar & Grill” for many years on the Southside of La Crosse, they’ll be closing the doors for a remodel & rebrand!

The new “Fork & Fable Crafthouse” will open in the same space in the near future, but they’re having one more shindig to say goodbye!

The party will run 11am until 5pm, with no brunch or normal menu being served. They will be resurrecting the glorious chili dog that made The Arterial famous in the first place! Plus, door prizes, great beer, and a lot of love for everyone!

Find more info here.
