Bizarro-world LOTR.

You know I’m a big fan of the LOTR movies.

Especially the scene where Sam carries Frodo up the mountain.

I cry every time I watch it.

But did you know that there’s a Russian version of the Lord of the Rings movies?

The made-for-TV film, “Khraniteli“(translates to “The Keepers”), is based on Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring, and came out in 1991, a full 10 years before the release of the first installment of Peter Jackson’s trilogy.

And it recently made it’s way onto YouTube for the whole world to enjoy!

If you’ve got a few hours of spare time in the next day or so, you might want to check it out.
