The “Star Wars Celebration Day” last week fed us some very awesome news in the Star Wars universe. We got a tighter release window for the standalone series “Ahsoka” (August 2023), Andor season 2 was officially announced, and we found out we’re getting 3 more movies in the franchise.
With all of this Star Wars on the brain, I figured I would take my time to rank some of my favorite villains in the Star Wars universe. So let’s get to it.

I feel like you have to give Vader the #1 spot here. He’s basically the face of the franchise, as he’s recognizable to people who don’t even watch Star Wars. I made sure to save a spot for Cad Bane from the animated series and his brief appearance in the Book of Boba Fett.
I also felt weird about including Boba Fett on this list, given his redemption tale from both the Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. He technically was never a villain at all. Just a bounty hunter doing his job. But he was definitely treated as a villain in the original trilogy, so I included him here.
