We have a problem on Ward Ave.

Now that I live on the further South side, I drive Ward Ave every day. Some days, more than a few times.

And over the last year & a half that we’ve lived in our new house, I’ve noticed something about Ward Ave.

People apparently don’t know that there’s a sidewalk on one side of the road.

There’s no sidewalk on the southern side of Ward Ave. from Losey Blvd. until 32nd St.

But there is one on the northern side of Ward Ave. the entire length of the street.

Yet for some reason unbeknownst to me, I regularly see people walking on the non-sidewalk side.

Do they not know about the sidewalk on the other side of the street? Why would you choose to walk in the road(even further in the road during the winter with the snowbanks) as opposed to walking on the provided sidewalk on the other side?

I can’t be the only person who lives over there that has noticed this.
