Listen to polka. Get free beer.

Oktoberfest weekend is here and even though the Festgrounds won’t be open to the public, there’s a bunch of area bars & restaurants that are doing some sort of Oktoberfest celebration.

Features in Holmen is having a tapping of a Golden Keg later this morning at their “Polka Patio Party“, along with all sorts of other Fest activities….I saw that Angry’s Way Out on Brice Prairie has two days of live music and Festing….Del’s Bar in downtown is celebrating “NOToberfest” this weekend….the Pearl St. Brewery is hosting the “World’s Smallest Drive-In Oktoberfest” complete with Festbier, German food, and live tunes…and there’s plenty of other local places that are doing something this weekend to help us celebrate Oktoberfest.

But, if you’re more into staying home, cooking some brats, listening to the Jim Busta Band around the firepit and downing a few Leinie’s Oktoberfest beers…then why not do it for free?

Leinenkugel’s is giving away free sixers of their Festbier just by going to their website and listening to :60 of polka music! After you listen to the oompa, you get a code to text in, then a hyperlink where you’ll be able to upload a receipt of your purchase of Leinie’s Oktoberfest beer. They’ll send you a rebate for up to $10!

More info here.

Prost!
