Irregardless.

I’m not surprised, but I am a bit disappointed.

However, if so many people use the “word” irregardless, then it was bound to happen.

Merriam-Webster has now recognized it as an actual word.

Just add it to the list of things in the English language that make little to no sense.

Such as:

Me – I went to the movies.

You – So DIDN’T I.

Me – So you did? Or you didn’t?

Of you could just read through the comment section on any social media platform to see the English language being brutalized.

The Oxford English dictionary & Merriam-Webster have been adding new words & slang for years, so it was bound to happen to “irregardless”
