Brian saw the STRANGEST thing the other day.

I used to smoke cigarettes. When I was about 7 or 8, I’d steal a Tareyton 100 from my mom’s pack and sneak off with my friends to puff away.

A few years later, I was taking cartons of Marb lights from the convenience store I worked at and selling packs at my high school.

Yeah, I was a criminal.

But in all my years of smoking, I never understood people who would smoke in the car with the windows all the way up. They didn’t even crack the window a bit to let the smoke out. Always seemed bizarre to me.

The other day, I saw something I’d never seen before.

A woman was heading south on South Ave. and as I passed her, I looked over. She had a cigarette in her left hand, which was on the steering wheel. So was her right hand.

So, both hands on the steering wheel at 10 & 2…heater in the left hand.

And instead of taking her hand off the wheel & bringing the ciggy to her mouth to have a puff, she leaned in to her hand and took a drag without removing her hand from the steering wheel….keeping her eyes on the road the entire time.

Whole thing took about five seconds before I passed her and headed on home, but it was so strange!
