Looks like the weather is going to be hovering in that mid-to-upper 50’s, maybe low 60’s area…with some rain & clouds off and on for the next week or so.
This is probably going to be my last completely free weekend until the end of summer, and I don’t know if I want to just veg-out at the house or go do a bunch of stuff.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you’re in luck! There’s plenty of stuff going on in our area, and here’s a few of my suggestions:
FRIDAY – 4/20 PRE-PARTY @ THE RECOVERY ROOM
Was just at the Recov the other day for a drink. This Friday, they’ve got a 4/20 Pre-Party starting at 5:30pm with food, giveaways, new THC products to sample, and more! They’ve also made some improvements to their outdoor patio area recently, so you can enjoy the fun outside!
I’ll be perfectly honest with you…I’ve NEVER had a THC drink. I’m a beer-drinker, and they’ve got a hell of a selection of beers at the Recovery Room. But if you’re like me & you’ve never tried a THC drink and have always wanted to, then here’s your chance.
And if you’re hungry, I recommend the Black & BluGold burger with some O-rings!

SATURDAY – RECORD STORE DAY @ DEAF EAR RECORDS
We are VERY lucky to have such a cool spot like Deaf Ear Records in town. They’ve got music, movies, posters, toys, collectibles, t-shirts, and SO much more!
And this Saturday is the annual Record Store Day across America…a great way to celebrate all the unique, locally-owned record stores in our communities. One of my favorite jobs growing up was working at a record store!
This year, you’ve got new/unreleased/special releases from Apocalyptica, Asking Alexandria, the Beatles, the Black Crowes, Dio, the Hu, Pearl Jam, and MANY MORE!

SATURDAY – 4/20 PARKING LOT SHINDIG @ 608 BREWING
Beer. Food. Vendors. Specialty releases.
It’s a parking lot party at 608 Brewing in La Crosse this Saturday starting at noon!
This year’s annual beer collaboration is called “Couch Lock 4: A New Joint”. 608 Brewing partnered with Tree Huggers Cannabis for this double IPA that will be available for purchase. You can also bid on the 420mg MAGNUM bottle in their silent auction to benefit ORA Trails.
Check out the jewelry, stained glass, tie-dye t-shirts & glass blowing, and in case you get the munchies, check out the food from Taqueria Pato Azul & Monkey Business Food Truck!

SUNDAY – IVERSON RACING SMOKER @ WHISKEY RIVER BAR & GRILL IN WEST SALEM
Racing season in the area is right around the corner and many local race teams are having their smokers to raise much-needed money for the upcoming season.
This week, Iverson Racing is going to be at Whiskey River Bar & Grill in West Salem from 1-5:30pm for a #SundayFunday smoker!
You’ll be able to watch this week’s Geico 500 race at Talladega during the smoker.
They’ve got driver boards, prizes including guns, cash, & baskets…plus food, beer, & more!
