Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.

Easter weekend is here and I’ve got the smoked ham ready to go!

Other than the holiday dinner with my in-laws, the only other thing we’ve got planned is a Doggy Easter Egg hunt at Myrick Park on Saturday afternoon.

I’m sure Maggie & Fenway will thoroughly enjoy themselves!

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT FRIDAY NIGHT FISH FRY @ THE AMERICAN LEGION POST #51

Even though Lent is coming to a close, a lot of people in Wisconsin will continue to enjoy Friday night fish fry throughout the year.

If you’re looking to indulge this Friday night, get to the American Legion Post #51 in West Salem for their all-you-can-eat fish fry starting at 5:30pm. Meals include baked beans, coleslaw, and your choice of fries or baked potato.

If you’re looking for carry-out, they’ll start taking phone calls at 5:15pm.

SATURDAY – THE HOMELAND CONSPIRACY & DEAD AMSTERDAM @ THE POPCORN TAVERN

One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be LOUD this Saturday night at the Popcorn Tavern with Dead Amsterdam & the Homeland Conspiracy!

Just five bucks at the door gets you in to see both bands, with the Homeland Conspiracy playing a TWO-HOUR double set.

Show starts at 10pm, and you can find more info here.

SUNDAY – EASTER LUNCH @ HALDEMAN’S HILLTOP TAVERN

If cooking isn’t your thing, get to Haldeman’s Hilltop Tavern on Easter Sunday for their $10.99 lunch.

Meal includes ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, a dinner roll & a sugar cookie!

They’ll get started at 11am and serve until 4pm(or earlier, if they sell out), and you can dine-in or call ahead for takeout.

Find more info on this event here.

As always, there’s a bunch of other events in our area this weekend and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com

And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit it for free here.
