Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.

Hopefully the weather continues to improve!

Being able to turn the heat off & open a few windows in February is awesome. I’ve got almost no snow in the backyard, but I do have lots of dog poop back there, so that’s on my agenda this weekend. Gotta try to catch up on some sleep, too.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – FRIDAY NIGHT FISH FRY FUNDRAISER @ THE ROY L. VINGERS AMERICAN LEGION POST #52

EVERY Friday night in Wisconsin is for fish fry, but this week, it’s a national holiday!

Yup, the Friday after Lent is #NationalFridayFishFryDay and the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post #52 is hosting a Friday night fish fry to raise money for the Legion baseball program.

If fish fry isn’t your thing, wings are also available. Carry-outs start at 4:30pm, and if you’re dining in, stick around for live music from Steve Lambert starting at 5pm.

SATURDAY – THE 25TH ANNUAL WINTER BALL @ THE PEARL ST. BREWERY

An institution in La Crosse. The Pearl St. Brewery!

For the last two & a half decades…Joe, Tami, and the rest of the crew at the PSB have been brewing beer & supporting everything La Crosse. I’ve been honored to be the emcee for this event for several years, and I’ll once again be back at the Brewery this Saturday night for their 25th Annual Winter Ball.

Live tunes, great beers, special releases, food, good times & more!

The VIP tickets are back this year & include early entry, complimentary food(while it lasts), a souvenir pint glass, five beers, live music, & more! Purchase your VIP tickets(while available) here.

GA tickets are also available for just $35 in advance & include the souvenir pint glass, one free beer, and live music from The Gruv Collection & the Smokin’ Bandits!

To celebrate 25 years of the Pearl St. Brewery & their great beers and impact on our community, make sure you come decked out in your best 90’s gear and party like it’s 1999!!!!!!

SUNDAY – EUCHRE TOURNAMENT @ HALDEMAN’S HILLTOP TAVERN

Once again, I have zero friggin’ clue how to play Euchre. So, this isn’t my jam.

But I know a TON of people in the Coulee Region love playing Euchre, and if that includes you, then get your ass to Haldeman’s Hilltop Tavern on #SundayFunday for a Euchre tourney starting at 1pm.

This is the second in a series of Euchre tournaments at Haldeman’s, and to qualify for the finals, you must play in two of the first three tourneys!!!

It’s $10 to sign up each week, and there’s cash payouts for 1st & 2nd place.

They’ve got great food(try the Hilltop Hog burger!), drinks & service at Haldeman’s, so make sure you show up hungry & thirsty!

As always, there’s a bunch of other events happening in the area this weekend and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com

And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit your event for free here.
