Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend

After some rain the last couple of days, Saturday & Sunday look to be absolutely fantastic with lots of sunshine & high temps in the mid-to-low 70’s!!!!

Get out & enjoy it!

Probably going to lay low tonight at the house with game two of the Eastern Conference finals on TV, but I’ll see a lot of you tomorrow for Big Bikes. And on Sunday, I think I’ll get on my Harley & go for a ride somewhere!

If you’re looking for something to do in the area this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – AMERICAN STANDARD @ HD TAVERN

They’ve got a REALLY sweet set-up in the back of the HD Tavern! Check out their live music schedule for the upcoming Summer months here. If you haven’t been there before, here’s your chance to get out on a Friday night for some beers & live tunes from American Standard.

These guys are great! They play everything from classic to modern Rock with a ton of energy, and have opened for Wayland, Static X, Psychostick, Quiet Riot, & Firehouse!

The show starts at 8pm and there’s no cover!

Here’s more info on this event.

SATURDAY – BIG BIKES FOR LITTLE TIKES FOR EMERSON SMALL

Big Bikes for Little Tikes is our annual ride through the Coulee Region for one special kid. This year, we’re riding for Emerson Small of Bangor, WI.

The ride is open to EVERYONE, whether you ride a motorcycle, drive a car or truck, or even if you can’t make it & just want to donate. We truly appreciate your support!

Emerson Small was born with a very rare genetic disorder. She suffers from significant hearing loss, complex vision issues, severe seizures, mobility challenges and developmental delays. Her family wishes for a bed, specially designed for Emerson, that will keep her safe from injury and add to her quality of life for her and their piece of mind.

Check in begins at Great River Harley-Davidson in Onalaska at 10am and ride leaves around 11:30am on Saturday. First 250 riders to check in receive a free kick plate courtesy of River Valley Remodelers! Your registration includes a Big Bikes for Little Tikes t-shirt, a free brat & chips at the post-ride party, a chance to win door prizes, and we’ll unveil the bike for the 95 Days of Summer! Ride wraps up at the Onalaska American Legion.

You can read more about Emerson Small here. And you can register for the ride by clicking here.

Big Bikes for Little Tikes is made possible by our amazing community partners: Schneider Accounting and Tax, Interstate Roofing, Luke’s Repairs LLC, Northern Engraving, Seland’s Karpetland, April Carrier – Farmers Insurance, Rudy’s Drive-In, Ace of all Trades, Midwest Mortgage Team, Reedy Concrete & Construction, Bubba’s Meats, Wisconsin Insurance Center, La Crosse Movers, and First American Roofing and Siding.

SUNDAY – CHICKEN-Q FUNDRAISER FOR THE CALEDONIA AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION

Take the ride to Caledonia & join the Caledonia Ambulance Association for their annual Chicken-Q to celebrate EMS Week!

The Chicken-Q runs from 10:30am until gone, and is just $14 per meal.

Dine in, takeaway, or drive thru options are available, and the catering is provided by Rooster Andy’s.
