Over the last few months, we’ve told you about a bunch of companies who are looking to “hire” someone to do something cool, like watch 24 hours of true crime documentaries, or be a brand ambassador for Miller High Life, or even getting paid to take naps.
And I don’t see that trend slowing down.
It’s an easy way to get people like me to write about your product or service for free. I mean, do they actually “hire” anyone?
Or do they just make some intern handle the gig so they can control the outcome?
Either way, there’s two new “jobs” that are in desperate need of filling.
The first is with Red Lobster.
Right now, they’re looking for a “Chief Biscuit Officer“, but you apparently have to be a Gold or Platinum My Red Lobster Rewards member to win this position.
If you do win, you’ll score $1,000 in My Red Lobster Rewards gift cards(meh), some Cheddar Bay biscuits to take home(meh), and VIP status at your favorite Red Lobster location(double meh).
It’s not much, but if you’re one of those people who goes nuts over their Cheddar Bay biscuits, then why wouldn’t you apply?
There’s only one winner for the CBO prize, but a bunch of other people will score various other freebies from Red Lobster.
All you have to do is log into the My Red Lobster Rewards app. By doing so, you’ll get one free entry into the contest. If you aren’t a member, you can score an entry by downloading the app and creating a profile. Rewards members will get additional entries with every dine-in, to-go, or delivery purchase made at Red Lobster.
