My bits & pieces!

In my youth, I played league baseball and basketball and the two worst injuries I ever suffered were a broken hand after punching a metal door….and a fractured growth plate in my ankle.

The metal door met my fistful of stupidity after I fouled out of a CYO game. I was going to the locker, so angry…and just punched the door as I walked by. Needless to say, I was in a cast for the rest of the season.

As for my ankle, I was actually playing some pick-up hoops at a buddy’s house in the cul-de-sac where he lived. I went up for a rebound and came down on the curb under the basket, twisted my ankle and did some pretty severe damage. They had to cut my shoe off at the hospital because my ankle had swollen so much. I ended up in a walking boot for that one.

And other than the occasional strain, bruise or cut, I stayed relatively injury-free in my youth.

Unlike this guy….who tore his sack!

I laugh so hard at these videos on Sportscenter and now, I might have to cringe.

Zach McWhorter said, “I could see right into my scrotum.”

Required 18 stiches in his scrotum to repair the damage. F’N OUCH!
