Spent the last weekend in the Dells with the wife and this weekend, she’s heading outta town for a girls’ weekend in Iowa, so I’ll be a bachelor!
Thought about just chilling at home with the dogs, but there’s just too damn much happening in the area over the next few days! Gotta get out and do a few things, and if you’re looking for something to do in the Coulee Region this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – HORSESHOES & HAND GRENADES @ THE MAIN – AN EVENT SPACE
La Crosse has such a wonderfully diverse music scene, and some of the best artists in the area will be at the Main – An Event Space this Friday night for a kick-ass show!
Horseshoes & Hand Grenades will be taking the stage at the Main with special guest, Dandy Freling from Milwaukee!
Doors for this 21+ show are at 6pm and the music starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are general admission and can be purchased in advance here.

SATURDAY – SOUTHERN BLUFFS PTO CHICKEN-Q @ CHARLIE’S INN
Yes, Chicken-Q season has finally arrived and I’m HERE for it. With the wife outta town, I’ll be riding solo to Charlie’s Inn on Saturday for some delicious noms that will benefit the Southern Bluffs PTO, and I’m okay with that.
The Q starts at noon and goes until it’s gone. Meals are $15 & include a 1/2 chicken, Sparky’s beans, coleslaw, a cornbread muffin, & a soda/drink ticket that’s redeemable inside Charlie’s Inn.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Southern Bluffs PTO.

SATURDAY NIGHT – PORCUPINE ALBUM RELEASE PARTY @ THE POPCORN TAVERN
Another example of the extremely talented musicians from this area will be on display Saturday night at the Popcorn Tavern in downtown La Crosse!
Porcupine has a new album out called “Our Chemistry Is A Tightrope”, and if you haven’t picked up a copy from their website or from Deaf Ear Records, you can snag one at this record release party at the Popcorn Tavern, featuring Cindy Lawson from Minneapolis, and the debut of SiB!

SUNDAY – MOUNTAIN MELTDOWN WITH GLASS STILLETO @ MOUNT LA CROSSE
Did I mention the diverse music scene in our area yet? Just checking.
There’s even more tunes happening in the region this weekend and on #SundayFunday, get your ass over to Mount La Crosse for their Mountain Meltdown, featuring Glass Stiletto!
Sadly, ski season is coming to an end, and Glass Stiletto will be playing at Mt. La Crosse on their last day of the season from 2:30-4:30pm.
