CBD, Delta, and Mental Health

Some of you know that I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It’s something I’ve made no secret about in the past, because I believe it to be beneficial in order to fight the stigma of mental health issues. If you’re not sure of what GAD is, it’s somewhat difficult to describe, because each individual who has it experiences it differently.
In the abstract, it effects the brain’s “fight or flight” mechanism. The brain is telling the body that there is danger, despite your senses not detecting anything dangerous. It causes confusion between the mind and body, and can effect you in different ways depending upon what makes you anxious. My particular breed is capable of giving me random false heart attacks. Basically, I experience the physical symptoms of a heart attack, despite my body not actually having one. It’s not very much fun.

Thankfully, my medications have done marvelously at stomping out my symptoms, and I’m able to live a normal life. However, I’m always looking for allies.
It was brought to my attention a long time ago that CBD and Delta products can help with anxiety issues. So I thought I’d give it a try. After all, the more help you can have in your corner, the better. In short, I’m glad I did.

I’ve used CBD and Delta to help me sleep, and help to get more out of relaxing at home. So far, it’s worked beautifully. It’s actually what helped me get through “Dry January”, for those of you who remember me doing that. Another added benefit I’ve found is that cannabinoids have anti-inflammatory properties. So I use them after a workout to help relax my muscles and fight soreness, rather than reaching for the ibuprofen.

If you suffer from anxiety or depression, I’d highly recommend trying it. You can find CBD and Delta at most any smoke shop these days. So check it out.
