Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend

Looks like it’s going to stay in the 70’s all weekend, so let’s get outside & do some stuff! I mowed earlier this week, so I’m going to try & enjoy the next few days, rather than doing stuff around the house.

Get on the bike, get on a patio, grab a drink…have a blast!

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend in the La Crosse area, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – AN EVENING WITH MONIKER @ THE MAIN – AN EVENT SPACE

Moniker is a local cover band that’s been around for a few years & played at Leo & Leona’s, Silverado’s, and a bunch of other spots in the area is going to be hitting the stage at The Main – An Event Space in downtown La Crosse this Friday night.

Doors are at 6pm & the music starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are just $10 if you buy them online, or $15 at the door!

LOTS of energy, songs you’re going to dance & sing along to, and a couple of adult beverages to kick off the weekend!

SATURDAY – FIRE & IRON STATION 131 11TH ANNUAL BURN CAMP RIDE

Our friends from Fire & Iron Station 131 will once again hit the road to raise money for the Wisconsin summer camp for burn-injured youth. It is a free, week-long, overnight summer camp experience for kids with life-changing burn injuries to grow their lifelong support system, continue to heal from the emotional trauma of their burns, and just be a kid.

This year’s burn camp will be held from August 13th-19th, 2023 at Camp Timber-lee in East Troy, WI.

You can find out more about the camp here.

This year’s ride begins & ends at the American Legion Post 51 in West Salem. Registration/check-in begins at 9am with kickstands up at 10am! It’s just $20 per rider, and that includes the ride, a t-shirt, and a chance to win prizes!

Stops include Pecks Corner, the Ontario FD, The Beer Shop in Sparta, and The Vault in Rockland!

At the post-ride party, you can enjoy live music from Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchman & Blue Collar 40. There will be food, drinks, raffles, a 50/50, & more! And if you don’t ride, you can still participate by riding the Redneck Express bus!

SUNDAY – FREE COMIC BOOK DAY @ DEAF EAR RECORDS

This event is actually both Saturday & Sunday at Deaf Ear Records in downtown La Crosse.

Stop in. Grab a FREE comic book, and shop for all your favorite stuff! They’ve got CDs, vinyl, DVDs, posters, collectibles, action figures, and SO much more at Deaf Ear. Plus in-store sales on back issues and graphic novels that will go through Sunday!

They’re open from 10am until 8pm on Saturday, and from 11am until 6pm on Sunday!
