Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.

Is it just me or is time speeding up?

Feels like every weekend is a blur of activities with no signs of slowing down. I suppose it’s like that no matter what year it is. We already have several events planned for this weekend, including a house-warming party & a Mother’s Day brunch.

If you’re looking for something to do in the Coulee Region over the next few days, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – MAY BREWS & TUNES @ THE ONALASKA OMNI CENTER

Partly sunny & 71° on Friday? Sounds like great weather for some live music, cold beers, good times & great food!

The Onalaska Omni Center is once again hosting their “Brews & Tunes” community get-together on a Friday afternoon/evening during the Summer.

This month, the Omni Center kicks things off with live music from Maddie Herlitzka, yard games, free samples of Point Brewery beer & wine from Three Lakes Winery, along with food from Chug ‘n Good Eats.

This family-friendly event is free to attend and open to the public! Kids & Dogs are both welcome, and it’s an indoors/outdoors event that happens rain or shine.

SATURDAY – SOMETHING FAMILIAR @ MOXIE’S

Wife & I were just at Moxie’s last Friday for a couple of drinks & a bite to eat.(Had the Bourbon BBQ Bacon Smash burger) The stage is soooo ready for some action and they’ve actually got bands lined up al this weekend at Moxie’s, including 1Accord on Friday & Something Familiar on Saturday.

There’s no cover charge and the band starts at 7pm, but you’ll definitely want to get to Moxie’s early because it does get packed on the patio!

Something Familiar is exactly that…playing all your familiar favorites from the 80’s, 90’s, & 2000’s.

Find more info on this event here.

SUNDAY – MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCHES!

Sunday is obviously Mother’s Day…and you better have a card…or some flowers…or a fancy brunch buffet for Mom.

We’re taking my mother-in-law for a late brunch at the Vintage Kitchen and I’m extremely excited for the deviled eggs flight!

We were lucky to get a reservation last weekend when we called, so I would highly recommend that if you’re trying to also get in somewhere for a Mother’s Day brunch, you call ahead well in advance.

You can certainly find a bunch of these listed on Facebook or on AroundRiverCity.com

Whatever you do, don’t forget about Mom this Sunday!

There’s plenty of other events happening in our area this weekend and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com

And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit it for free here.
