Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend

For the love of all that is holy…can it PLEASE. STOP. SNOWING?????

Seriously. I didn’t spend $40,000 on a new Harley so it can sit in the garage in the month of March. Let’s get those temps consistently in the 50’s!

If you’re like me, you are seriously ready to get those knees in the breeze! Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like a possibility this weekend. So, if you’re looking for something to do in the La Crosse area over the next few days, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – STEELIN’ CHEEBA @ THE ALPINE INN AT 7PM

Cheech. Chubba.

Put them together, Wonder-Twins style, and you’ve got Cheeba!

Get your duff up the bluff tonight for Steelin’ Cheeba with special guest from Nashville, WI – Pedal Dan! Show starts at 7pm, and there’s no cover.

They’ve got great food at the Alpine Inn, so come hungry & stick around for some great tunes from a couple of La Crosse musical legends! Find more info here.

SATURDAY – STREET MARKET INDOOR GARAGE SALE @ THE ONALASKA OMNI CENTER FROM 8AM-3PM

Don’t drive around aimlessly & waste gas looking for garage sales, get to the Onalaska Omni Center on Saturday morning for the indoor garage sale on Saturday from 8am until 3pm.

This is a community-wide sale in one convenient location. Admission is free, they will be accepting donations of nonperishable food items to help local food pantries!

If you are interested in having your own booth at the event contact Kourtni at kalcock@onalaskawi.gov

Find more info on this event here.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON – CANCER BENEFIT FOR JORDAN GILMAN @ RETREAT SPORTSMAN’S CLUB IN DE SOTO FROM 1PM-5PM

Jordan Gilman was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (cancer). After multiple surgeries Jordan has begun what will be a long journey to recovery. The course of her treatment will last 6 months and will consist of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Chemotherapy
treatments and hospitalizations. She will have to limit herself in public settings due to being immunocompromised. Read more about Jordan’s medical situation here.

There will be a benefit for Jordan at the Retreat Sportsman’s Club in De Soto on Saturday, March 11th, starting at 1pm. You can enjoy food, raffles, a live auction, & more! Find more info on this benefit here.

SUNDAY – PRE-SPRING FLING @ WHISKEY RIVER BAR & GRILL FROM NOON-3PM

This is a soup & chili cook-off to benefit the Rock Foundation, so you MUST attend! Plus, if you haven’t had a bloody Mary at Whiskey River Bar & Grill in West Salem, here’s your chance!

It’s free to enter, and there’s also going to be raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and more!

Find additional info on this event here.

As always, there’s a bunch of other events in our area this weekend & you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com
