No Mow May was a great idea. We forget about it sometimes, but insects like bees and other pollinators are our friends. I’m glad we did this, but as with everything new, it presents new problems. What to do with the clippings being very high among those new problems. Most times, we can leave them in our yard. But after a month of not mowing, that leaves A LOT more than we’d usually have. Whatever you do with those clippings, remember this.
Keep them out of the street.
Along with the summer weather, motorcycles have returned to the road. Believe it or not, grass clippings present a major problem for bikers. It causes more accidents than you think.
Motorcycles need to keep 2 firm wheels on the road at all times. So things on the road like dirt, gravel, and grass clippings can present a problem. Grass is about 80% water, so this can make it particularly slippery.
