Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend!

Holy crap! The sun is finally going to show up this weekend(I think). Nice weather to be outside, drinking beers & enjoying some food.

Mother’s Day is on Sunday, so don’t forget to get mom a card or some flowers or candy or something.

If you’re looking for an event to attend this weekend, start with my best friend, Pat McCurdy, at Moxie’s tonight starting at 8pm!

Pat will be on the outdoor patio playing all your favorites, including “Monkey Paw”, “Nude Party” and of course, “Sex & Beer”.

It gets REALLY busy at Moxie’s, so get there early to guarantee a table/seat! They’ve also got some heaters under the outdoor bar, in case it gets a bit chilly!

More info here.

On Saturday, I’ll be your emcee at the first ever Bacon Fest in La Crosse at Copeland Park!

Not quite sure what took so long for a festival devoted entirely to Bacon to appear in our community, but it’s finally here and you can get GA tickets online for just $20 in advance($25/day of), or upgrade to VIP tickets for just $45! Buy tickets here.

VIP tickets get you in an hour early, an official Bacon Fest t-shirt, two free beverages, and a second sample from your favorite vendor!

Local restaurants will be serving up their best Bacon dishes, there’s going to be a Bacon eating competition, area meat markets will also be serving their best Bacon, and you can vote on your favorites.

More info here.

On #SundayFunday, it’s also Mother’s Day, and you know mom would LOVE a delicious breakfast. But what she DOESN’T want, is to clean up the mess in the kitchen after the kids make breakfast.

So, take her to the American Legion Post 51 in West Salem for their all-you-can-eat Mother’s Day breakfast!

Enjoy pancakes, eggs, Bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, potatoes, made-to-order french toast, waffles, and more!

Find more info here.

As always, there’s a ton of other events happening in our area this weekend and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com.

And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit your event for free here.
