Summer Party Tip!

Take a waterfall tour in Minnesota!

There’s 8 waterfalls in the Cannon Falls area that you could spend a weekend exploring!

First stop is Minnehaha Falls, about 2 hours from La Crosse. It’s a 53′ waterfall with limestone bluffs, a bike path, picnic area & more.

From there, you can drive to Vermillion Falls in Hastings, MN. There’s a paved walking & biking trail that follows the river in both directions.

After Vermillion Falls, you can drive to Hidden Falls. There’s about 7 miles of trails in the park, with a picnic area, boat launch & more!

From Hidden Falls, travel to Northfield & check out Caron Falls. It’s small, but serene and less visited than some of the bigger waterfalls.

After Caron Falls, check out Minnemishinona Falls just outside of Mankato. It’s 42′ with a scenic overlook & walking bridge for great views! It’s one of the tallest falls in southern MN!

Next up is Minneopa Falls! This one might be the prettiest of them all! The park has a campground, hiking trail & an old windmill.

Red Rock Falls in Sanborn is another lesser known fall that you can visit next. Being lesser known also means you’ll likely have the place to yourself!

And finally, you can check out Ramsey Falls in Redwood Falls, MN. It’s a big campground with all the usual amenities, including the falls which you can see from a distance or get up close by hiking to the top.
