Metallica LIVE in Richland Center!

Well… kinda. See Metallica Memorex’d Live at the Starlite 14 Drive-In Theater in Richland Center, WI on Saturday August 29th at 9:00pm

Metallica will do a brand new, pre-recorded set. Their first time performing together after James Hetfield’s break for treatment, and his healthy return to the band.

This concert event will be recorded at an undisclosed location north of Metallica’s home base of San Francisco, CA for a one-night-only release at drive-in theaters across the country. There are multiple locations in MN, IA, and WI, but the one nearest La Crosse? Is in Richland Center.

Other Wisconsin locations include: Chilton, Freedom, Waukesha, New Richmond, Monroe, and Oak Creek. In Minnesota? Luverne, Long Prairie, or (best bet) in Champlin, just NW of Minneapolis. Iowa? Prepare for a long drive… Blue Grass, Spirit Lake or Sioux City are the only locations.

Tickets for this unique concert event are $115 per vehicle with up to a total of six viewers. Not bad, I guess if you’re going to break it down per person. Ticketmaster will more than likely unnecessarily gouge you with some completely made up fees and criminal service charges. That’s what they do.

Anyway. Tickets go on sale FRIDAY at NOON right here

Not sure how they plan on enforcing the number of people I can fit in the Six-Million-Dollar-Van, but… I can sure as hell fit a lot more than six. Tell ya what. You chip in for gas, (beer) and popcorn… and I’ll let ya hide under a blanket in the back. The A/C works great!

Anyone wanna go?
