Metallica does a LOT of covers. From “Stone Cold Crazy” to “So What”.
My personal favorite from Metallica is their cover of the Blue Oyster Cult‘s “Astronomy”.
This list from Loudwire.com doesn’t have any Metallica covers listed, but it does say that Marilyn Manson‘s best cover is “Sweet Dreams”, originally done by the Eurythmics.
I’ve always preferred his cover of “Personal Jesus”, myself.
This list is in alphabetical order, from AC/DC and their cover of “Baby Please Don’t Go”, all the way to Rob Zombie’s cover of “We’re An American Band”.
Personally, I’d have chosen “Children of the Grave” from the NIB tribute album.
