On Saturday, June 24th, a benefit for Ethan Halverson will take place in Lansing, Iowa. Ethan was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in November of 2016. He has been receiving chemotherapy and is unable to work or attend school. Ethan is the son of Marty and Faye Halverson from Lansing. Please join to show support for this amazing young man!

The day will begin with a fishing tournament at sunrise with weigh-in at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Park. Cast a line and try to catch a big one! Next, you can show off your skills at the “E-man the He-man” whiffle ball tournament starting at the Lansing Ball Field at 10:00 a.m. Teams can be comprised of as many players as you want, with a cost of $5.00 per player. Fill the field and have a ball with your friends and family! In between games you can get your fill as hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will also be available. Call Jordan Milton (563-568-8481) or Kasey Nuehring (563-568-1512) to register a team.
Your competitive streak can continue as the silent auction will begin at 2:00 P.M. at TJ Hunter’s Banquet Hall. Then grab a number, because the live auction starts at 5:00 p.m. You’ll also be able to grab some food at the auction to help you stay energized so you can bid on and win the auction items you want! Donations for the auction are being accepted at Milty’s, Gundersen Lutheran Clinic (in Lansing), Red Geranium, and at the home of Lisa Welsh, 101 N. Front St., in Lansing, IA.

Any questions or ideas for the benefit can be answered by Lisa Welsh at or by calling 563-568-7302. Follow the benefit on Facebook at E-Man the He-Man’s Cancer Benefit to see auction items or to sign up to help with the benefit!
