Rain in the forecast as well? Damn.
So much for a nice ride on the Harley this weekend.
Not really sure what we’re doing, but I’m hoping to get some serious yard work done. Take everything out of the garage and get that cleaned out. Maybe put a few things on marketplace.
If you’ve got no plans and you’re looking to get out & about, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – ABLE, INC CASINO NIGHT AT THE LA CRESCENT AREA EVENT CENTER
Drinks, food, gambling, & fun!!! Plus, it’s all for a great cause.
This Friday night at the La Crescent Area Event Center, you can enjoy some Hors d’Oeuvres, a couple of cocktails, and play some card games/dice games/games of chance while raising money for ABLE Inc.
ABLE Inc. has been providing residential care to people with developmental disabilities in Southeast Minnesota for 45 years. They offer living and learning opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities.
And this Friday night is their annual Casino Night fundraiser. It runs from 6pm until 9pm at the La Crescent Area Event Center and tickets are available here. Your $25 ticket includes entry into the event, dinner, tap beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and 20 gambling chips to enjoy the games! You can also sponsor a table or support the cause by making a donation online.
Every game at ABLE Inc’s Casino Night will require a gambling chip to play, and every game you win will get you a raffle ticket for the CASH drawing at the end of the night. Win more games, and get more chances to win CASH!

SATURDAY – ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT @ THE ALPINE INN
Last weekend was for the kids. This weekend is for YOU!
Get a babysitter, call grandma to come over for a couple of hours, and get your duff up the bluff to the Alpine Inn for their adult Easter egg hunt on Saturday starting at 3pm.
The first 50 registered egg hunters get to participate, so make sure you get to the the Alpine Inn EARLY! Eggs will be filled with liquor, beer, candy, money and 3 big prizes!
You must supply your own basket and be over the age of 21, and you can enjoy food and drink specials for all egg hunters!
This adult Easter egg hunt will take place on volleyball courts with over 500 eggs to find! It costs $25 per person with proceeds being donated to La Crosse New Horizons.

SUNDAY – FREEDOM HONOR FLIGHT DINNER & FUNDRAISER @ THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 IN WEST SALEM
The Freedom Honor Flight flies veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. The organization coordinates the transportation and itinerary of more than 200 veterans annually. To date, more than 3,000 veterans have participated in the Freedom Honor Flight program thanks to individual donations, fundraisers and volunteers.
And this Sunday afternoon, you can enjoy a delicious pulled pork dinner at the American Legion Post 51 in West Salem catered by Big Boar barbecue to help raise money for the Freedom Honor Flight.
The dinner is $15 and includes a pulled pork sandwich, beans & coleslaw. There will also be live music from Quenten Brown and basket raffles!
