Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
I can’t believe this friggin’ weather.
I nearly had the “widowmaker” on Sunday & Monday by shoveling my driveway…and we’re looking at almost 70° on Saturday.
Talk about some bullshit.
Needless to say, I won’t be doing any shoveling at all this weekend. I am heading to Eau Claire for an NCAA Skip Day at the VFW Post 305 later this morning and we’ll likely be making corned beef & cabbage on Sunday with my in-laws since we didn’t get to host our annual St. Paddy’s dinner last weekend.
If you’re looking for something to do in the La Crosse are this weekend, you’re in luck! Here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – THE “TURN UP THE GOOD TIMES TOUR” WITH WARRANT, FIREHOUSE, & STEELHEART @ THE LA CROSSE CENTER
While I’m excited to be hanging in the 715 later today & tonight, I’m bummed that I’ll be missing this show as Warrant & Firehouse are two of my favorite 80’s bands.
And they’ll both be at the La Crosse Center tonight with Steelheart and special guests, Red Voodoo!
It’s the “Turn Up the Good Times Tour” at the La Crosse Center and doors are at 6pm for this all-ages show.
Don’t forget to stop by John’s Bar starting at 5pm for our official pre-concert party where you can enjoy some cocktails, crank the tunes on the jukebox, grab a bite to eat(I recommend the gyro!), and sign up to win $50 in drinkin’ money!

SATURDAY – THE “BALLS TO THE WALL TOUR” WITH HAIRBALL @ THE ONALASKA OMNI CENTER
If all that glorious 80’s music at the La Crosse Center just isn’t enough…then get up on Saturday, take a shower, run whatever errands you need to run…and then get those Jordache jeans and tease that hair for the Hairball show at the Omni Center on Saturday night!!!!!
You’ve seen the before and you know you want to see them again! All the songs you love from many of the bands you grew up with! Music, lights, pyro, smoke, and one hell of a party.
And if you’ve never seen Hairball before, this Saturday night is a great opportunity to experience the power of arena rock at the Omni Center!
No “new music”, no B-sides…nothing but the hits!

SUNDAY – THE 8TH ANNUAL AUTISM FUNDRAISER @ THE ONALASKA AMERICAN LEGION
After all that music & debauchery on Friday & Saturday…maybe it’s time to tone it down a bit and give back to the community!
Come out to the Onalaska American Legion on Sunday from 11am until 4pm for the 8th Annual Autism Fundraiser for the La Crosse Autism Foundation.
There will be food, drinks, a bake sale, a silent auction, DJ Grizz will be spinning tunes, a wingspan raffle, a gun raffle, & more!
