Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.

On Tuesday, I was in my yard for about three hours…taking down all my Christmas lights & decorations…while wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It was a glorious January day with a high of about 47°.

I even spent a half hour picking up a bunch of dog shit in the backyard before the snow moved in on Thursday & Friday.

And now, it’s going to be about 10° on Saturday & Sunday! Thankfully, the only two things I have planned this weekend is our annual charity bowling tourney at All Star Lanes, and watching the Patriots beat the Texans on Sunday.

If you’re looking for something to do that is ALSO indoors, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – GREG “CHEECH” HALL @ WHISKEY RIVER BAR & GRILL

You know him. You love him. He’s Gregg “Cheech” Hall and he’s prepping for the upcoming Winter Roots Festival at the La Crosse Center on 2/14 with a gig this Friday night at Whiskey River Bar & Grill in West Salem.

The show starts at 7pm, but you’ll want to get there early to grab the best seat and have something to eat! They’ve got some really good food at Whiskey River Bar & Grill and they’ve got a meat raffle every Friday night starting at 6pm!

Have a few drinks, score some free meat, and stick around for another blistering set from Cheech!

SATURDAY – 95.7 THE ROCK’S ANNUAL 9-PIN TAP TOURNAMENT @ ALL STAR LANES

Our annual 9-pin tap tournament at All Star Lanes is this Saturday afternoon/evening and yes, it’s officially sold-out.

Which is great! That means we’ll be able to raise a bunch of money for the Rock Foundation. And even though you won’t be able to bowl, you can still stop by and have a drink, maybe enjoy one of the incredible pizzas at All Star Lanes, and stick around for a chance to win some kick-ass prizes & raffles!

That’s right, you don’t need to be a participant in the tourney to try & win. We’ve got a plethora of stuff to give away, including some cash!

We’ll be at All Star Lanes starting at 1:30pm with bowling beginning at 2:30pm, and of course the NFL Divisional Round games will be on the TVs!

Find more info on this event here.

SUNDAY – BINGO @ ELMARO VINEYARD

Every Sunday in January, you can play BINGO at Elmaro Vineyard from 1pm until 3pm!

Oh, and you can also enjoy all sorts of wine & other adult beverages. They offer wine flights, and make sure you grab one of their delicious cheese plate appetizers!

BINGO at Elmaro is free to play. You’ll have a chance to win various prizes. However you MUST reserve your spot by clicking HERE.

As always, there’s a bunch of other events happening in our area this weekend and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com

And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit it for free here.
