Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.

Not really what we’re doing this weekend. I do know that I’m turning the heat off & opening the windows with temps getting back into the 60’s!

Wife’s been gone to a work conference in Milwaukee for the last few days, so I’m not sure what she’s gonna feel like doing, but I definitely want to get the bike out for a ride on Saturday.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – DOWNTOWN LA CROSSE HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

Walking around downtown La Crosse is going to be REALLY nice later today if the weather cooperates.

Kick-off the holiday season with music, shopping, discounts, food, drinks, and merriment! There’s a ton of great, local stores and restaurants to patronize and find unique gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list!

Santa & Mrs. Claus will be in the area, and make sure you get to Grounded Patio Cafe for the tree lighting at 6pm.

This event is free, open to everyone, family-friendly, and runs from 4pm until 8pm. Everything kicks off at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral with live music, carolers, a bonfire featuring cocoa – baked treats – toasted marshmallows & more. From there, you can set off to explore downtown La Crosse and check out the “Sleigh Your Gift List” shopping guide! While you’re browsing and enjoying local food & drinks, student musicians from the La Crosse Area School District performing throughout downtown.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY – THE HEART OF LA CROSSE COMEDY TROUPE PRESENTS: THIS AIN’T NO HOLIDAY SHOW @ THE PUMP HOUSE

The Heart of La Crosse Comedy Troupe is an interactive comedy group that features sketches, improv, parodies & more!

This Friday & Saturday night, you can check out their holiday-themed show at the Pump House Regional Arts Center. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Get your tickets online here.

SUNDAY – PACKERS & PINTS @ SKELETON CREW BREW

The Packers have been struggling the last couple of weeks, and thankfully, the NY Giants are kind of a dumpster fire. Hopefully, this Sunday’s game will be a lay-up for the Pack on the road in New York.

If you’re looking for a great place to watch the game while enjoying some amazing beers & tasty snacks, get to Skeleton Crew Brew in Onalaska for this Week 11 matchup.

Kickoff is at noon, and for more info on this event, please click here.

As always, there’s a bunch of other events happening in our area this weekend, and if you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com

And if you’ve got an event coming up that you’d like to see featured on AroundRiverCity.com, you can submit it for free here.
