Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend

Looks like we’ve got one more weekend of unseasonably warm weather before things start to finally cool off. I’m honestly looking forward to turning off the central AC and opening the windows for a few days.

Wife & I had a blast at Oktoberfest last weekend and we’re leaving for NH at the end of next week, so I have a sneaky feeling that we’ll chill out the next couple of days and try to get some cleaning and packing done for our upcoming vacation.

If you’re looking to get out and have some fun this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY – THE 56TH ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST RACE WEEKEND @ THE LA CROSSE FAIRGROUNDS SPEEDWAY

The gates opened on Monday. The campers filed in and got their sites all set up. Practice laps have been run and now it’s time to go racing!!!

The 56th Annual Oktoberfest race weekend at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway has a little bit of everything. Live music from One Accord on Friday night and the Dawg Bones on Saturday night. A pet costume parade, a decorated golf cart parade, the cornhole tournament, food, drinks, racing, and much more!

On the track on Friday, it’s the SLM Dick Trickle 99, the LaCrosse Late Models, and Area Sportsmen. On Saturday, the ASA Midwest Tour Preliminary Events, Big 8 Late Models, Mid-Am Racing Series, Midwest Trucks, and the Midwest Dash Series. And on Sunday, the weekend wraps up with the ASA Midwest Tour Oktoberfest 200, the Cratetoberfest 602’s, and the Upper Midwest Vintage Racing Series.
