Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Fall doesn’t officially begin for a few more weeks, but it certainly feels like it’s starting right now!
Don’t worry, Summer-lovers…it looks like it’s going to be back in the 80’s by the end of next week.
This weekend, I don’t have a ton of things scheduled, which is nice. The wife & I have been very busy for awhile, and it’ll be nice to relax a bit before Oktoberfest arrives.
If you’re looking for something to do in the Coulee Region the next few days, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – FRIDAY NIGHT FARMER’S MARKET @ BURNS PARK
Time to stock up on some fruits, veggies, and various handmade crafts from all the wonderful local vendors at the Friday night farmers market at Burns Park on Main St. by the Library.
If you’re looking for something specific to decorate your home, or maybe something Autumnal for your morning routine, find it at the La Crosse Area Farmers Market!
Market is free to attend, open to everyone, and runs from 3:30pm until 6:30pm. Find more info on this event here.
SATURDAY – WESTERN TECHNICAL COLLEGE NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION @ THE LA CROSSE FAIRGROUNDS SPEEDWAY
Monster trucks! Fireworks! A Jet car! The trailer race! Stunts, Six Shooters, Mini-Vans, & MORE!!!!!!
It’s the Night of Destruction at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem and it’s bigger & better than EVER!
Gates open at 5:15pm on Saturday night and the destruction begins at 7pm.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online here, or grab yours at the gate at the Speedway! Kids under 5 get in free, and anyone aged 6-11 is only $4! Students from 12-17 years old get in for just $8, adults over 18 are $30, and senior tickets are $28. They’ve also got family pricing available – Two adult tickets & up to FOUR student/kid tickets for just $70.

SUNDAY – 2025 END OF SUMMER BASH/BIKE GIVEAWAY @ FEATURES IN HOLMEN
That’s right…after spending the summer chasing us around the Coulee Region trying to qualify, it’s FINALLY time to give away the bike for the 95 Days of Summer!
This #SundayFunday, join us at Features in Holmen for food, drinks, football on the TVs, two more chances to qualify for the bike, and one lucky winner!
Check-in/registration starts at noon on Sunday at Features and we’ll draw two more qualifiers by 2pm, along with some random winners for other prizes.
Once we get the 94th & 95th qualifiers, we’ll start the giveaway until there’s one man standing! That person wins the 2025 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S.
And then stick around after the giveaway for the Packers season opener against the Lions.
