Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend
Just a few more days before we leave for Rock Fest! Had to miss it last year because of my mom’s passing, so I’m really excited to be back on the grounds again with all our friends & Rock Fest party people.
Probably going to take it easy this weekend since we’ll be partying non-stop next weekend. Clean the house, hang with the dogs, make some good food, take a few naps. Nothing too crazy.
If you are looking to get out & do something this weekend, you’re in luck! There’s plenty of stuff happening in the Coulee Region the next few days, and here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – 53RD ANNUAL CATFISH DAYS IN TREMPEALEAU
That’s right! It’s the 53rd Annual Catfish Days this weekend and the weather looks like it’ll cooperate for most of the next three days.
This event runs Friday, Saturday, & Sunday…with a fishing tournament, a cornhole tournament, a flea market, a 5k & a 10k, the golf tourney, the classic car show, a Chicken-Q, the Craft Beer/Wine/Hard Cider on the Mississippi, the parade, live music, and so much more!
Speaking of the tunes, check out Bella Cain tonight from 8:30pm until 12:30am. Tomorrow, it’s the WhiteSideWalls from 5pm until 8pm, followed by Blue Collar 40 from 8:30pm until 12:30am. On Sunday, they’ve got Dancing Fox DJ from 2:30pm until 4:30pm, and the Brianna Rae Band will wrap up the weekend on Sunday from 5pm until 9pm.

SATURDAY – ST. JOE’S LIONS CLUB 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS
Did you miss any of the spectacular fireworks shows last weekend? Maybe you just can’t get enough fireworks?
Get to the St. Joseph’s Ridge Community Park this Saturday evening to enjoy some food, beverages, live music, and FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Support the St. Joe’s Lions club and enjoy an afternoon of kids activities, food, music, and one of the best fireworks shows in the area! Bring a chair or blanket for your fireworks spot! Live music from “Daddy’s Girls” from 5pm until 9pm with the fireworks to follow.

SUNDAY – MUTTS, MEOWS & MOVIES @ THE RIVOLI THEATER
This Sunday, you can check out a special screening of the new Superman movie & help support animals in need in the Coulee Region with “Mutts, Meows, & Movies” at the Rivoli Theatre!
Tickets for this special event are just $10 with a portion of every sale benefiting the Coulee Region Humane Society! You can buy tickets in advance online.
Doors open at 2:30pm with specially themed drinks, a chance to win prizes, limited-edition event t-shirts available for purchase, and picture opportunities with Zeus the Super-Dog!
