Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Sunny and in the 60’s? Perfect weather for some outdoor drinkin’!
And that’s exactly what I’m planning on doing on Saturday at the Beverages & Bites Festival! I’ll be the emcee for the event, so come on down to the southside Oktoberfest grounds
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend in the Coulee Region, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – ADULT PROM WITH PAT MCCURDY @ THE ALPINE INN

I don’t know how many of these we’ve done over the years, but it’s always a blast!
Right around the same time the high schools are having their proms with pictures at Riverside Park & limo rides to the dance, we’re getting our duffs up the bluff to the Alpine Inn for Adult Prom with Pat McCurdy.
It’s been a few months since Pat was in town and this Friday night, he’ll be performing all his classic tunes at the Alpine Inn starting at 7pm.
So grab a gown at Goodwill, throw on that suit you’ve got in the back of your closet and head up Bliss Rd. for Adult Prom!
Pat plays at 7pm and there’s a $5 cover at the door. Make sure you get to the Alpine Inn early so you can get a table and grab something to eat!!

SATURDAY – BETWEEN THE BLUFFS BEVERAGE & BITES FESTIVAL

The name may have changed, but the idea is the same!
Drinks, food, music, games, vendors & a whole lot more this Saturday for the Between the Bluffs Beverages & Bites Festival(formerly Beer, Wine, & Cheese Fest).
Why the name change?
Well…because there’s a whole lot more than just beer, wine, & cheese at this bad boy!
Yes, there’s beer. And wine. And cheese. But there’s also craft beverages, THC, and non-alcoholic/mocktail drinks, specialty meats, delicious dips, along with artisan cheeses from the La Crosse Region, across Wisconsin, and throughout the Midwest.
This year, you can also play your favorite backyard games, enjoy Bingo, participate in a pretzel-necklace making class, and discover the all-new artisan market…featuring handcrafted goods and unique creations from local makers.
The Beverages & Bites Festival is on Saturday at the southside Oktoberfest grounds with VIP getting in at noon and General Admission tickets getting in at 2pm. This event is rain or shine, but the weather looks perfect with sun in the forecast and a high of 65° expected!
Tickets are still available online with multiple options, or you can grab them at the gate.

SUNDAY – SELF GUIDED DOG WALK IN THE VINEYARD @ ELMARO

Another day with perfect weather for some outdoor drinkin’ mixed with some dog walkin’!
Your pup loves going for car rides & long walks with treats along the way, and you love a glass of wine or an ice cold beer paired with a nice cheese & meat tray!
This Sunday, get to Elmaro Vineyards for a self-guided dog walk through the vineyard with doggie treat stops along the way from noon until 4:30pm.
No fees or registration is required, but all dogs are required to be on a leash and remain well-behaved. Plus, you obviously need to pick up after your pooch when they poop!
Bring your furry friends to Elmaro on Sunday and take a walking tour of the vinyards and then grab a beverage and enjoy the nice weather outside on their patio area.
