Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Easter. Tax Day. Crazy storms. Temps near 80°.
What a wild ride it’s been the last few weeks.
With Beverage & Bites happening next Saturday, might be a good weekend to lay low & get some stuff done around the house rather than going out every single day & night. I do know we’re planning on hitting up Deaf Ear Records on Saturday for Record Store Day, but that might be the only activity we’ve got on the agenda.
If you’re looking to get out and do something in the Coulee Region this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – STUDEBAKER 7 @ THE ONALASKA AMERICAN LEGION POST 336

Sure, Lent has come to an end…which means you can eat a burger or a steak on a Friday night without any sort of religious guilt…but why would you when you can still go out for a few Old Fashioneds, a fish fry, and some live tunes!
Get to the Onalaska American Legion today for their incredible Friday night fish fry from 4pm until 8pm, and stick around for some live music from Studebaker 7 from 7pm until 11pm.
And if you would rather have a burger, they’ve got plenty of delicious options on the menu at the Legion, including the Mushroom & Swiss(my personal favorite).

SATURDAY – RECORD STORE DAY @ DEAF EAR RECORDS

Soooooo many special releases…so little money!
I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting up at about 4am and heading to Deaf Ear Records to camp out for Record Store Day so the wife can sleep in and eventually join me. Apparently, she’s got three or four things she’s looking forward to buying on Saturday.
Me? I’m looking for a couple of things: Collective Soul’s brand new album called “Touch & Go”, a Megadeth special release called “Hidden Treasures” which features covers, soundtrack songs, and demos on vinyl…and the re-release of Adam Sandler’s “They’re All Gonna Laugh At You” album on an orange vinyl with a “Medium Pace” air freshener, exclusive sticker, & magnet sheets!
Record Store Day is an annual event that helps to celebrate independent record stores with exclusive & limited-release items…special reissues…and occasional live, in-store events.
This event is always first-come, first-served…and some supplies are limited. So don’t wait around or be late…because you might miss the thing you’re looking forward to purchasing.
Doors at Deaf Ear Records open at 10am and you can find more info on this event here.
