April Fool’s! Famous pranks. Our 28th Birthday! Things to look forward to in April.

It’s April 1st. It’s April Fool’s Day. And it’s also 95.7 The Rock’s 28th “birthday”.

Yup, 4/1/98 we made the switch to an active rock station and we’ve never looked back.

Thanks for coming along with us for the ride!

To celebrate the new month, we had a list of things to look forward to in April…including the new movies coming out, TV shows, the sporting events happening over the next 30 days, and some of the more interesting holidays.

And since it’s also April Fool’s Day, we looked at some of the more famous pranks that have been pulled.

In the news this morning, the latest on Tiger Woods, the helicopter pilots that flew by Kid Rock’s house in Tennessee are off the hook, GMail is letting you change your humiliating email address, and we’re going back to the moon today for the first time in 50 years!

In sports, the Brewers got a nice win over the Rays last night…even with C.B. Bucknor looking like a complete idiot at 1st base. The Bucks finally got a win, a look at the men’s & women’s upcoming Final Four schedules, as well as a look at the Frozen Four schedule.

We let you know what’s on TV today/tonight, and we talked about Jimmy Kimmel’s beef with plumbers.

Elsewhere in sports, the US men’s soccer team lost again yesterday, the “Hard Knocks” series announced it’s next two teams to be featured, and a Patriots running back is showing support for former Bulls guard Jaden Ivey.

Great story about a woman in Chicago who got a bone marrow transplant from a stranger in Poland that saved her life…and then he showed up at her wedding!

And in today’s edition of “Bad News with Happy Music”, we had stories about a drug dealer that got hit in the face with a bag of cocaine, kids flushing their plastic vapes down the toilets at schools, the Mets are selling a full velour tracksuit at their merch store, an Ivy League teacher that’s requiring students to use typewriters to combat A.I. in the classroom, an attorney who’s being penalized for using A.I. to write a brief, and a guy who tried to open an emergency door on a flight in India claiming he was “possessed by a ghost“.
