Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Uffdah. Here comes the heat! Looking at temps reaching into the mid 90’s this weekend before hopefully cooling off early next week.
I’ll be driving back & forth from La Crosse to Eau Claire on Thursday night, back to La Crosse on Saturday morning, then back to Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon before coming back home to La Crosse on Sunday morning.
Busy, busy. Rock stops, golf outings, live concerts, grand reopenings, baseball games and more!
If you’re looking to get out this weekend in the Coulee Region and do something fun, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – MONIKER @ THE ROOKERY – 9PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT
No more excuses! Get your ass into the Rookery(formerly the Eagle’s Nest by UWL) and check out the newly remodeled location!
They created a beautiful space up front for live music with the giant garage doors that open up at night for a cool indoor/outdoor experience.
They’ve also upgraded the food(try the Rook burger) & beverage menus with many amazing additions!
And later tonight, Moniker will be playing The Rookery from 9pm until midnight, featuring high-energy classic rock and more.

SATURDAY – GRAND REOPENING & ANNIVERSARY PARTY @ GREAT RIVER HARLEY-DAVIDSON
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you must have seen the changes at Great River Harley-Davidson over the last couple of years. And now, the remodel is complete, and it’s time to celebrate with their Grand Re-Opening & 4th Anniversary party this Saturday.
I’ll be emceeing this event, so stop by & say hi!
Things get underway at 9am with a ribbon cutting, followed by a bike blessing, live music, door prizes, free food, and much more!
Take a tour of the newly remodeled Great River Harley-Davidson and see what is new, grab some merch, maybe buy a bike!

SUNDAY – THE SIMPSONS TRIVIA @ HOWIE’S – 7PM
D’oh! Another Sunday night trivia event at Howie’s that I won’t be able to attend.
And I feel like I’d be able to DOMINATE this time around.
I’ll be at the Logger game Sunday night, but if I wasn’t going to be at the Lumberyard, I’d be inside with the air conditioning at Howie’s for Simpsons Trivia from Quizmaster Trivia.
Who shot Mr. Burns? Can you sing the Monorail song? How many kids does Apu have?
If you know the answers to these questions, you could win prizes this Sunday night at Howie’s.
This event is from 7pm until 9pm, it’s free to play and they’ve got prizes for 1st, 2nd and “Most Eggggcellent Team Name”
