Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.
Warmth. Sun. Rain. Snow. Cold. Fake spring. Mid 50’s next week.
It’s that time of the year where I’m constantly asking myself whether I should take the bike out of the garage for a spin…and a day later, I’m usually glad that I waited.
Nothing really planned this weekend, and I feel like it’ll be a good time to sit around & do nothing but nap & watch TV. Got some very busy weekends coming up the rest of this month, so now is probably a great time to just chill.
If you’re looking for something to do in the area this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:
FRIDAY – E-WASTE RECYCLING DRIVE @ WESTERN TECH FROM 9AM UNTIL 3PM
We’ve all got some electronic junk laying around the house. TVs, modems, PCs, keyboards, old gaming systems, busted-ass printers, and so much more.
The Western Tech student-run Help Desk is hosting an E-Waste recycling drive today from 9am until 3pm in Lot H at WTC(8th & Badger St.)
So, rather than throwing that stuff in your trash or in a dumpster somewhere, bring it to Western Tech & get it recycled properly.

SATURDAY – 2025 CRITTER CRAWL TO BENEFIT THE COULEE REGION HUMANE SOCIETY
Drinking beer & raising money for animals in need! What a combo.
If anything is going to get me out of the house this weekend, it’ll be this pub crawl for the Coulee Region Humane Society.
For just $40, you’ll get a custom t-shirt, a chance to win prizes, special appearances from some shelter dogs, lunch at Big Al’s, drink specials at John’s Bar, the Helm Bar, State Room, Animal House, & Del’s Bar…and you’ll be helping raise much needed money for the animals at the Coulee Region Humane Society.

SUNDAY – ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST @ THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 IN WEST SALEM
In this day & age, we all need to save a few bucks, especially when it comes to breakfast.
So, if you’re looking to enjoy a big, delicious brekkie with pancakes, eggs, Bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, potatoes, made-to-order french toast, waffles, and more…then you need to get to the American Legion Post 51 in West Salem on Sunday between 8am-11am.
