Three things to do in & Around River City this weekend.

Man…with the weather as nice as it’s been all week, I was not only able to get all my yard work done & Christmas lights hung, but I also spend some serious quality time behind bars…with my knees in the breeze!

Nothing quite like some late-season rides on the Harley!

Wife & I have double-date dinner plans tonight, and we might head to UWL tomorrow for the Eagles’ playoff game. Not sure what we’ll be doing on Sunday, but I definitely WON’T be watching my atrocious Patriots(because they’re on the bye week)

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend before the holidays REALLY take over your life, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – FRIDAY NIGHT COMEDY @ THE MAIN – AN EVENT SPACE

As I mentioned earlier, we’re going out to dinner with another couple tonight at Pato Azul in downtown La Crosse, and then we’re heading to comedy at the Main – An Event Space!

Doors at the Main open at 7pm and comedy starts at 8pm. I was wicked smaht & reserved our table online earlier this week. You can buy tickets online here, or get them at the door while they last!

Tonight, they’ve got Pierre Douglas & James Stanley in the house. Pierre is from Minneapolis and has opened for Donnell Rawlings(Ashy Larry on “Chappelle’s Show”), Ali Siddiq, and others! He also opened Baddies Comedy Co. in the Twin Cities with Brandon Riddley & Bruce Williams, which was one the host of Kevin Hart’s Comedy Central show, “Hart of the City“.

James Stanley is from Woodbury and has been doing stand-up since he was just 16 years old! He was a semi-finalist in the “Funniest Person with a Day Job” contest & has performed regularly at the Acme Comedy Company & Laugh Camp Comedy.

SATURDAY – 59th ANNUAL HOLIDAY FAIR @ THE LA CROSSE CENTER

The 59th Annual Holiday Fair at the La Crosse Center is this Thursday through Sunday and it’s only $2 for adults, and free for kids under 12 with an adult.

The fair runs from noon until 8pm on Thursday & Friday, from 9am until 5pm on Saturday, and from 10am until 3pm on Sunday.

There’s a TON of holiday vendors to get some serious Christmas shopping done, Santa will be available for photographs daily, there’s door prizes being given out every hour of every day of the fair, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer will be making special appearances throughout the weekend!

Find out more about the holiday fair here.

SATURDAY NIGHT – JUICENECK, ABADDON’S END, & DEAD AMSTERDAM @ THE POPCORN TAVERN

Live music? You betcha!

Get to the Popcorn Tavern in downtown La Crosse and enjoy some hard rock from Juiceneck, Abbadon’s End, and Dead Amsterdam!

Doors at the Popcorn open at 9pm on Saturday night with the music starting at 10pm. There’s a $5 cover at the door and the show is 21+.

SUNDAY – ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST @ THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 IN WEST SALEM

Before you go downing some bloodys and mimosas for the Packer game, get your butt to West Salem & establish a good base with the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at the American Legion Post 51!

The buffet runs from 8am until 11am and is just $12. It includes pancakes, eggs, Bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, potatoes, made-to-order french toast, waffles, and more!

As always, there’s a TON of other events happening in & Around River City this weekend, and you can find many of them online at AroundRiverCity.com
