Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend!

The weekend is here, the weather is perfect, and we’ve got a BIG-ass show! Plus, FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!

I think the wife & I are going to go out & try to get a punch on our Big Burger Card somewhere tonight, and then a firepit in the backyard with the pups & some Festbiers! Obviously, we’ll be at Copeland Park tomorrow night for the 3rd & final act in the “Altra Rocks! Summer Concert Series” featuring Chevelle & Three Days Grace, and I’ll definitely be napping on Sunday afternoon so I can stay up past my bedtime for the Pats/Fins game on SNF.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend in our area, here’s a few suggestion:

FRIDAY – APPLEFEST IN LA CRESCENT

Holy crap! It’s the 75th Annual AppleFest this weekend in La Crescent and there is a TON of stuff to do!

The fest runs Friday, Saturday, & Sunday with plenty of music, food, drinks, and fun for the entire family. Today, the beer tent opens at 4pm and they’ll tap the Red Apple Keg at 7pm. The carnival also gets underway at 4pm with rides, games, & food! Stick around for live music tonight from Something Familiar & Blue Collar 40, and come back tomorrow night for Hillbilly Rocketship & Overplayed!

There’s face painting, magic from Isaiah Foster, Bingo, the Applefest Queen Coronation, the parade on Sunday and lots more.

SATURDAY – THREE DAYS GRACE & CHEVELLE @ COPELAND PARK & EVENTS CENTER

It’s the 3rd & FINAL act in this year’s “Altra Rocks! Summer Concert Series” at Copeland Park & Events Center and it’s going to be a doozy! Doors open at 5pm, unless you’ve got the early entry passes that get you into the park 1/2 hour before everyone else.

Gives you time to get a beverage, scope the merch table, and find a place to watch the show!

The stagefront pit passes have been sold out for quite some time now, but you can still get the on-field GA tickets and the grandstand GA tickets(limited supply left!).

Don’t forget, ticket prices increase the day of the show, so grab yours online here!

Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and special guests, Loathe!

SUNDAY – SELF-GUIDED DOG WALK IN THE VINEYARD @ ELMARO VINEYARDS

Drink wine. Hang out with dogs. Enjoy the view at the vineyard!

Sounds like a nice #SundayFunday!

If sitting in a bar & watching football isn’t your “thing”, get to Elmaro Vineyard in Trempealeau and bring your furry friend for a self-guided dog walk in the vineyard!

This event starts at noon and is free to attend, and there will be dog treats along the walk through the vineyards. Maps & info when you arrive. They’ve got cheese plates to enjoy and wine flights if you’re looking to sample. Plus, you might be able to cross a few Christmas presents off your list by picking up a couple of bottles!
