Some of you may have heard, but I’m currently training to potentially get into a ring for a professional wrestling match. Call it my mid-life crisis, call it a childhood dream, or call it me being an idiot. But it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m going for it, even if it’s only one time.
So I’ve decided to help the local wrestling circuit that’s helping me with this adventure by being there at their events for setup and tear down. Paying my dues, if you will.
Well, after we were done, of course we all had to screw around in the ring a bit. That’s where my boys got involved. They LOVED it. Climbing up on the ropes and bouncing off of them. Slamming each other to the mat. You know, typical boy stuff. Now they want to be with me every time I do it. I suppose it was only a matter of time before they took interest in it, considering I have wrestling on in the house a ton. But this was the moment that made them both fans.
As for when you’ll see me in a ring? I’ve got a few months to train still.
