Three things to do this weekend in & around La Crosse.

Looks like rain & cooler temps all weekend long, but I’ll be staying warm thanks to the love in my heart.

Yes, Thursday was my 10th wedding anniversary…and I’m taking a long weekend to spend some quality time with the wife. Looking forward to a special dinner at Le Chateau and a day of pampering at Brilliant Bodywork Med Spa.

Also looking forward to cracking open a bomber bottle of the Pearl St. Brewery‘s “Tambois” that we’ve kept in our fridge for about a decade. Not exactly sure when we got the bottle, but it was back when the PSB first put the “Tambois” in bottles.

Spoke with Joe Katchever this past weekend at the Between The Bluffs Beer, Wine, & Cheese Fest and decided we should bring it in to the PSB on Friday afternoon to share with Joe & Tami.

If you’re looking for something to do in the area this weekend, here’s a few suggestions:

FRIDAY – SHOELESS REVOLUTION @ THE MAIN – AN EVENT SPACE

Reed Grimm has more talent in his pinkie toenail than I’ll ever have in my entire life. And watching him perform and hearing his music is always an amazing experience. Bummed that I’ll be missing this one, but if you can get to the Main in downtown La Crosse on Friday night, it’ll be WELL worth it.

Shoeless Revolution is playing at the Deecefest pre-party! Tickets for this show are $10 in advance, and $15 at the door if there’s any left. You can purchase tickets online here.

Doors at the Main open at 6pm, and the music starts at 7pm. You could also win a pair of tickets for Cheech’s Deecefest!

SATURDAY – TENT EVENT @ GREAT RIVER HARLEY-DAVIDSON

Riding season is……………………….sorta here? It was in the 80’s. Everybody had the bikes out. Then it snowed a foot. Then it melted. Then it rained. Then it was cold. More snow. Cold. Wind. A bit of sun.

Seriously. WTF?

Needless to say, there’s plenty of us who are braving the chilly temps and getting on the bike. If you’re looking for some new gear, a new bike, some customization, or just a free brat, head to Great River Harley-Davidson on Saturday morning for their annual Tent Sale!

It’s their first official grill out of the season with free brats from 11am until 3pm, a sidewalk sale for Motorclothes*, all the new and pre-owned inventory available for test rides, door prizes and more!

*Sidewalk sale includes clearance pricing on specially marked Motorclothes Apparel Only. See Store for details valid 4/29/23.

SATURDAY NIGHT – BEER, WINE, & BEARD CONTEST @ SKELETON CREW BREW/LOST ISLAND WINE

I made the mistake of trimming my beard a few months ago and it’s finally getting back to normal. But I’ve got really coarse facial hair, so I NEED to get some of that Wandering Sheep Beard Care product!

If you’re rocking a sweet beard, stop by Lost Island Wine/Skeleton Crew Brew on Saturday night for their first ever Wine, Beer, & Pirate Decisions Beard Contest!

Registration for the beard show runs from 4pm until 7pm, with judging set to begin at 7:30. There will be prizes for 1st & 2nd place in each of the three categories. Plus, product samples!

SUNDAY – OKTOBERFEST DIRNDL & BUTTON SWAP @ BRILLIANT BODYWORK MED SPA

Every year, it’s always a “thing” at my house.

Will the dirndl fit, or does the wife need to get a new one or borrow one from a friend.

I bought my Lederhosen about three sizes too big when I got them, so I’m still able to squeeze my fat ass into them.

Whether you’ve gone up or down a few sizes, or you’re just looking to add another dirndl to the roster, make sure you stop by Brilliant Bodywork Med Spa this weekend for their Oktoberfest Dirndl & button swap!

This event runs ALL weekend!!!!! Here’s the info:

  1. Gather your unwanted German attire. (Make sure the item is on a hanger if applicable.)
  2. Label it with your name and asking price.
  3. Drop your items off at Brilliant Bodywork MedSpa anytime on April 26th or April 27th.
  4. Come SHOP and meet other Oktoberfest Ambassadors:
    April 28th from 4pm-7pm
    April 29th from 10am-2pm
    April 30th from 10am-2pm
  5. Pick up your unsold items and proceeds by 6pm on May 1st.
