Three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend.

The weekend is here & summer is winding down!

Festbiers are in stores and I plan on drinking a bunch of them this weekend. Starting tonight with date night! Wife & I are heading out for dinner and a few cocktails…might have a firepit. We’ll see if I can stay up that late. Gonna be at Great River Harley-Davidson on Saturday morning for the rock stop. Only about three weeks left!!!! Get a full list of the remaining rock stops here.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you’ve got a LOT of options, including:

Street Drags at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway tonight!

Have you always wanted to see what your family truckster can do on the straight-away???? Here’s your chance! They’ve got divisions for just about every vehicle out there…trucks, cars, motorcycles, minivans, station wagons. If you can drive it, you can drag it!

Double elimination will be used ensuring every car gets a minimum of two guaranteed runs. And don’t forget about the shine ‘n show car show and the burnout contest!

Pits for the street drags open at 6pm with practice & grudge matches at 6:45pm. Bracket races begin at 7:30pm.

On Saturday morning, join me at Great River Harley-Davidson from 9:30am until 11:05am for the Rock Stop, and while you’re there, register for the 5th Annual American Legion Legacy Run!

Registration begins at 9am with, kickstands up at 11am. $20 per rider, $20 per passenger

It’s the American Legion Riders District 7 Legacy Run, and proceeds go towards Veterans Programs such as American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, Camp American Legion, and Freedom Honor Flight

On Saturday afternoon/evening, check out Irishfest at the Southside Oktoberfest Grounds! The 17th Annual Irishfest starts on Friday and runs through Sunday with food, beverages, the genealogy tent, live music & performances, vendors & so much more!

On Saturday, you can check out the Tug-O-War at 11am, sheep shearing in the Wee Folks tent @ 5:30pm, and do NOT miss The Harp Twins @ 8pm.

On #SundayFunday, get your ass to Middle Ridge/Bangor for live music from my good friend, Andy Hughes of TUGG! He’s playing a FREE show from 2-4pm at the Ridge History Park, so head up there with your chair/blanket & a cooler!

As always, there’s a bunch of other events happening in the area and you can find many of them online at
