This Saturday, the 5th of September, is “National Cheese Pizza Day”!
And while I prefer my pizza with an assortment of meats & veggies on it, it got me wondering about the great pizza we have in our area, cheese or otherwise.
Obviously, there’s the incredible pizza at Saxon Hall in Brownsville. It’s also a nice drive/ride down the river road on the MN side, and they’ve got a really cool, little outdoor patio to enjoy during the summer months. If you wanna take a trip down the WI side of the river road, there’s always the Great River Roadhouse in De Soto. Bring your appetite! Those pizzas are MASSIVE!
Here in town, there’s no shortage of pizza places to choose from, from Big Al’s to Polito’s(bruh, Mac & Cheese pizza at bar-time is the SHIT!!!) and Pizza King, along with MANY others.
One place the wife & I are looking to get to is in Baraboo, called Gem City Saloon. We have a few friends that live in the area down there and every time they go, I end up staring at their pics on FB, wondering why we haven’t gone there yet.
