Dutch oven recipes. Doc’s Racing Report. Are “influencers” the worst people of all time?

Here we go with another Friday!!! Thankfully, I have absolutely nothing to do this weekend and I’m feeling about 20% better today than I was yesterday.

A lazy weekend filled with naps and soup should help.

In the news this morning, a tragic shooting death on the Southside of La Crosse has claimed the life of a young man, an update on the botched execution of Christa Pike in Tennessee, a man is recovering after being attacked by five other men in Madison, a missing 5 year-old in Wisconsin is found safe, a substitute teacher in Iowa gets fired for giving “extra credit” to students who donated to her GoFundMe account, a frat leader in Arizona gets a VERY light sentence in the alcohol-poisoning death of a pledge, and a sperm whale just sunk a yacht…leaving four sailors stranded at sea for hours.

In sports, the Browns kicked off week 4 in the NFL with a win over the Steelers on TNF, the Braves went to Philly & beat the Phillies to move on the MLB playoffs, a look at the upcoming ALDS & NLDS series, the Las Vegas Aces eliminated the Indiana Fever from the WNBA postseason, Angel Reese wins the DPOY award, and the Badgers look to win another conference game against Michigan State tomorrow.

We talked about what’s on TV & streaming today/this weekend. Plus, what’s new in theaters. Apparently, you can stay in an apartment where Kurt Cobain did a bunch of writing for most of Nirvana’s songs as it’s been turned into an Airbnb, and did Halle Berry really choke her own kid????

A guy in Texas returned a bunch of money he found laying on top of an ATM…asking the question, “How much would it have to be before you’d try to keep it for yourself?”

A couple of recent stories about “influencers” behaving badly has us wondering if they’re the worst people in the world?

Doc joined us to talk NASCAR racing thanks to County Materials in Holmen & Eau Claire.

Elsewhere in sports we had the 18th goalie-goal in NHL history last night, a mumps outbreak on the San Diego State football team, Victor Wembanyama won’t promote gambling sites, and the Portland Trailblazers just announced their new play-by-play announcer…and fired him hours later.

And in today’s edition of “Bad News with Happy Music”, we had stories about a mom who pulled a gun on a “Once Upon A Child” employee because her son allegedly wasn’t allowed to play with any toys, a woman who was repeatedly allowing a doctor to sexually assault her young child in exchange for drugs, a woman in California that intentionally ran over a puppy with her van, & a mother in South Carolin who stabbed her two children over 50 times.
