This past May, Kristie Pierce-Cody, a devoted mom, passed away from cancer.
Kristie’s 3 wishes before passing were: She wanted scholarships to be given to graduating kids who are going into the medical field. She wanted college funds set up for her own children. And she wanted money raised for this type of cancer with little funding.
Her friends and family started the “Our Savior’s Foundation, Kristie Pierce-Cody” Foundation in her honor to carry out these wishes.
There will be a benefit ride and charity event on Saturday August 25th for the “Our Savior’s Foundation”.
Registration for the ride starts at 10am at Norski’s Bar in Spring Grove. The cost is $20 per rider. A map and bandana will be provided at registration.
There will also be a Memorial Walk and concert after the ride at the Spring Grove Fest Building beginning at 2pm. The concert will feature live music from Cheech, Andreas Transo, Ricky Weeth, Simple Rogues and Deadset featuring Shay Cody.

Please help Tom Gittens as he battles Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome. . Tom was diagnosed with Leukemia in May of 2011, and in February of 2012 he was then diagnosed with MDS. He has been told that finding a donor for a Bone Marrow Transplant soon is crucial. Tom found a “perfect match”, which was his sister that lives in Seattle, they had to do numerous tests and it’s been determined that they both are healthy enough to do the transplant. He now needs to go through chemotherapy to help reduce some of the cancer cells prior to the transplant.
