Benefit for Maddox

Filed under: News — Jean @ 6:23 am

Maddox Henke was born with a birth defect called Craniosynostosis.

Craniosynostosis is a birth defect in which the bones of the skull close prematurely, not allowing the brain to develop naturally. Maddox underwent surgery on Sept. 4th to remove part of the skull.

Maddox is being treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Although some of the expenses have been covered by insurance even the smallest items add up quickly for Maddox’s family. The average doctor visit is over $100 just for gas and travel to the Mayo Clinic. Maddox will have year’s of medical treatment ahead of him.

Please join his family and loved ones for a benefit on Saturday, January 26th from noon until 4pm a the Zone Bar in Sparta.

There will be a raffle, a snow-volleyball tournament, a silent auction, a bake sale and much more.

For more information, please visit the event page on Facebook.
