For over 100 years, hundreds of volunteers have been flagging and decorating the graves of Veterans at the cemeteries in La Crosse. The group started out with on a few hundred flags and has grown to almost 7,000. It costs over $5,000 for the flags, decorations and for the Memorial Day observance.
A fund was established to cover the costs but over the years, there has not been enough earnings for those costs. The goal of the Capital Fund Drive is to raise $100,000 to guarantee the continuation of the grave flagging and observance for generations to come. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
