In March of 1997, Jess Whitewater tragically committed suicide.
The Jess Whitewater Memorial is a softball tournament to raise awareness of the prevention of suicide. Proceeds from this event will be donated equally among The La Crosse Area Suicide Prevention Initiative and The Town of Campbell First Responders.
The softball tourney will take place the weekend of June 15th-17th at the Sky Harbour Ball Park on French Island.
