Alexis Barton is my eight-year old girl scout cookie sales-person who was diagnosed with Leukemia in August of 2010. Her mother, Sonjia Barton (girl scout leader) has Lupus and struggles herself with her own health issues, yet somehow manages to maintain a constant vigilance over her daughters bedside.
Alexis has gone through spinal taps, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, radiation, shingles, and now is being fitted with braces for her little legs so they can support her upper body.
Due to her family’s rising medical costs, there will be a benefit for Alexis on Saturday March 5th, 2011 at the Onalaska Legion starting at 1pm.
There will be food & live music featuring Checkered Past! There will also be a silent auction, kids games, a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle and more!
Donations can be made in the form of a check addressed to Alexis Barton at any Associated Bank Branch.
