Corey Mineard has been dealing with a series of health issues including two surgeries less than a year apart. His latest surgery was to correct a problem that proved to be caused by overworking himself too quickly following his first surgery. Whether it was working at Baraboo Music, giving guitar lessons or touring with his band, The SoapBox Project, Corey jumped back in head first and ended up not healing properly. This time around, Corey has strict orders to NOT work at all… no giving lessons, no lifting amps and no touring.
That being the case, he will not be making any money for a couple of months. Faced with mounting medical bills and the high cost of living, his friends have decided to throw a benefit for him to help ease his mind and allow him to focus his energies at getting better.
The benefit will be on Saturday, November 13th at Hooty’s on Highway 123 in Baraboo starting at 2pm.
There will be a raffle, games, a silent auction and live performances by:
The SoapBox Project, Tugg, Shawndell Marks, Happy Ashtray, Pop Suicide, The Trailer Kings, Gary and the Gators, Kari Arnett, Nick Shattuck, Aaron Blacker, Marc Lamere, Derek Ramnarace.
